Title: Xbox Backup Creator 2.8 Keeps Freezing

Hello I am having trouble using my xbox back creator. When it gets to about 3.39% it freezes. Where it starts proccessing "security sectors". Then after that a few min it will hang then go then give me read disk errors. I have tried 3 diff games, COD4.NCAA 08 and MLB2k8, all disks are scratch free. I am using kreon drive, and pioneer 112 dvd dl burner. I have used the XBC fine to burn an image I already had on the pc. I just cant get it to READ!!

Hi,

I had the same problem, especially with the newer games - Used Schtrom360Xtract instead and the reading was fine, then burnt it using Imgburn via XBC and it worked a treat.

make sure in XBC that you select the 'drive tools' tab, then click 'unlock drive' before ripping

Having same exact issue with Blazing Angels 2. Unlocking drive did not help...

Same exact issue, any help would be great (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) maybe theres another program I can use for some games... any help please

Same here, just trying to back-up my copy of GTA IV with 2.8, locks-up at 3.39%. Went back to 2.6 which worked well in the past, same problem. So guessing it's either a problem with some new games, or perhaps something relating to Vista SP1, only thing I know has changed since last timw I backed up a game.

I had the exact same problem; XBC 2.8 was working perfectly for me 'till I tried backing up GTA IV and would freeze between 1 and 3%. After many coasters I solved the problem by simply selected the ImgBurn engine, et voila, it works perfectly!

I tried using both imgburn and xbc. Both didnt work very well. However, I successfully ripped using xbc, but when I tried to burn it, I got a message that it didn't need a dvd dl. I thought that wasn't right. Anybody experience the same? BTW both freeze at 3%.

Have no problems with XBC 2.8 and my kreon drive.
