Title: Legit Verbatim
Post by: Frenzy05 on February 12, 2008, 04:42:00 AM
I am having problems with a ten pack of verbatims. They came in paper cases not a spindle. I was wondering if they are legit. The top is gery not purplish like the others I've seen. Also the data side has colourfull wavey lines all over.

You sure about that Zer0123? The 2.4x MII and the 8x MIS disks I have here both look like the bottom one. I haven't had/seen the ones that come packed in jewel cases though, so I'm not sure what those would look like.

I have some jewel case ones and they look like the bottom one. I think Zer0123 might be right on the money.

I take your word on the legit Zer0123  happy.gif

I presume that my disks were made more recently and that it's likely they have changed the template at some point, so the top one could be older (or newer) than what I have here. The only other difference I note between the MII and MIS I have is simply that the center bit inside the burnable area on it is frosted on the MIS disks.

I confronted the modchip online store that I brought them from and he confessed that they are made in India. I wonder if I should name them. Thats not good for a store that deals specifically with modchips.

The disc that I use look like the ones on top, and they were made in Singapore, and I have not had one coaster yet.  Every pack that I have pack that I have gotten were made in singapore and they all work, and the first batch I got looked like the bottom pic, so you probably can not go on what they look like.

I have a purple stack made in Singapore, 2.4x up to 6x. They look like the pic at the top, with the speedhump kind of thing. These are definetly made in singapore discs, they were still factory wrapped. I live in aus but these discs were purchases from Canada.
