Title: Xbmc Freeze Everytime

My XBMC freezes very often when I do stuff, like change settings. It freezes everytime when I forward a movie when played through IFO.

Does any one else experience the same problem? I'm using the latest XBMC out there with HD Pack.  <

Yes, I think its called Alpha!?!  I think they have a Beta out v1.0 but I haven't found it in the compiled form.  Wish someone could give me a leash.  I just reboot.  Pain in the a*s, but hay, what can ya do.  <

There's no specific beta build yet. The beta thing is so far just a feature freeze while we get the bugs ironed out.  <

Details man, ppl can't help, and devs can't fix anything with details that vague.  What is HDPack, and what build do you have.  <

Ok as for my details. I'm using XBMC with on my High Def TV using the HD Kit for XBOX.

Issue:
When I play the movie using IFO, it plays very well however when ever I forward using 2X or higher, the movie / XBMC freezes and I have to reboot. Note: The freeze is usually when the VOB changes during fast forward.

This occurs every time with different movies.

Also. More filters would be helpful. I'm currently using not the linear filter as it?s not very smooth.

Thanks to the XBMC devs out there. Your work is much appreciated.

Actually we're planning to remove all filters except linear. :P  <

See that might be more helpful to the devs (if they aren't already aware) In any case,  I went to the doctor the other day.   I was complaining about random blackouts whenever I fast forward movies with subs on my xbox...  His advice to me was to avoid fast forwarding movies with subs on my xbox..:)  He also suggested using the d-pad seek buttons if its absolutely necessary because they are easier to control.

Butcher,

Linear Filter does not play vob's very smoothly, untill the smooth feature is enabled and HD resolution is disabled by MS Dash. I think more appropriate HD filters should be added to create clarity for vob play backs!  <

Not possible. The filter set is determined by the xbox hardware.  <

Got it. the new CVS seems to play back the vob's quiet smoothly. Wonder what changed. Thanks   <
