Title: Dvd Label Maker

does anybody know where I can get a DVD LABEL maker specifically for xbox 360 backups. i dont really wanna buy a whole inkjet printer just for this sole purpose as I already have a perfectly working printer that barley get's used. But I thought maybe their was some device I could buy for cheap that just specially print dvd labels. I already got a 20 pack of Verbatim DVD+R DL printable. Also where can I get identical green translucent cases similar to teh xbox 360 game cases. And then where can I get the shiny paper for game covers. Thanks for the help in advance!!!!

I concur labels are nothing but bad news for discs.  Either go Inkjet Printable or simply label with a sharpie.

I think you guys totally missed the question.  What he is really asking is if there is a device he can buy "for cheap" that only prints on DVDs rather than replacing his printer with one that also does DVDs.

Bucks19x, the answer is no.  Those devices exist, but they are not cheap.  They are made to work with automated DVD duplication systems.  You are far better off just buying a cheap Epson.

And don't worry about the "unbalanced" business.  Sticky labels will do that, inkjet on printables will not.  The weight of your ink can't even be measured with normal equipment.  Compare that to the heavy enamel paint on many pressed discs and you'll realize it's nothing to be concerned about.

Good call on that one Toddler.  99% of the time someone refers to a label maker they are talking about those accursed stick on labels that you add to non-printable discs that cause all sorts of playback/hardware issues.  Toddler is definitely correct that the Inkjet variety won't screw with the playback at all.

I just got a HP all in one that does direct to CD/DVD printing.  Works great.

I have always wondered... the branding on top of discs is often an imprint or cutout of whatever material is on top... doesn't that effect balance?
