Title: Pioneer 112d With Firmware 1.24 Wont Burn Working Backups
Post by: antoniof7 on December 28, 2007, 07:32:00 AM
I was wondering if anyone is having problems burning backups with the Pioneer 112D with 1.24 firmware?
All I get when I place the backup in my xbox 360 is "to play this disc put in an xbox 360 console"
From what I hear this is the latest firmware. I also hear that I cannot downgrade to 1.22. Is this correct. Thanks to anyone who responds.

Check out: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?cate...p;manufactor=25, then try burning with 1.21FW

Hopefully that works  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I would try burning with 1.21FW if I could, but it wont down grade from 1.24FW back to 1.21FW.

Try burning using Verbatim media, there the most compatible  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)  . I've also had some pretty good luck with Philips media  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

I have tried verbatims DVD+R DL  2.4X, Maybe their old stock being 2.4X but thats the speed I'm burning my backups. I know my xbox 360 can play backups because I originally thought there was something wrong with the console, so I took it back to the guy who modded the console and he tried one of his backups and it worked fine he even upgraded the firmware but when I tried to play one of my burnt backups all I get is that dreaded "to play this disc put in an xbox 360 console" in different languages. below is how I go about backing up my games.

1. rip the game with samsung  dvd rom V1.0 Kreon fw, used Xbox Backup Creator V2,7 and Schtrom V3.4
2. Stealth Checked the images, haven't had one fail so far
3. set the layer break and then the burn speed to 2.4X
4. Selected the DVD file and Burnt the images using ImgBurn, XBC and Clone CD V5.3

The images take around 40 minutes to burn and its very disapointing when I put in my xbox 360 to read that DAMNED message "TO PLAY THIS DISC PUT IN AN XBOX 360 CONSOLE"

Check the country of origin as the Made In India stuff is of significantly lower quality.

Hi Jesterrace 777,
Thanks for the link and good work. I managed to grab hold of some Verbatims made in singapore as you suggested and tried to burn the image with Clone CD, but I now get this error message, "cannot open file\blacksite\COBRAM1ak=1913760. reason:The system cannot find the file.
This is the same error I get when I try to burn the image with ImgBurn?

I then tried XBC and it comes up with a pop up "error reading the image descriptor file"

Is this where I go into notepad and write the connection? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
