Ok I have a drive flashed to Kreon V1.00 but it won't read 360 games. This is what I get from xbox backup creator v.3.7:
Found ODD: TSSTcorp DVD-ROM SH-D163A SB01 at [F]
Additional Info: KREON V1.00
From Schtrom360XtractV3.3.exe i get:
Can't get feature list from drive! It is kreon compatible drive, but don't seem to be flashed with the right firmware! Drive is used as a normal DVD-ROM!
Only XBOX backup discs can be extracted on a normal DVD-ROM without a patched firmware! You can't extract original discs!
I downloaded the xbins firmware and was going to run the fix then the flash again but it won't let me run either when i try to open the files it gives error that firmware is not for my drive.
Can someone please help?

Go to the Samsung website http://samsungodd.com/ and download the original firmware for the drive (make sure it's exactly the same model SH-D163A). Then try re-applying the Kreon firmware (again make sure it's the exact model) and reboot your computer. Also update Schtrom360 to 3.4... 3.3 is old.

Just a guess but are you using a SATA PCI card to connect your drive to your PC(ALSO another guess the same one you bought to flash your 360 drive...me too) if so the kreon firmware has an issue with PCI cards it needs to be connected directly to the motherboard, if you dont have a SATA port on your motherboard then you need to exchange the drive for the IDE version of the samsung/kreon drive no adapters will work I've tried like 5 USB and 2 IDE and nothing. has to be straight to the board!

I also had a problem using the PCI-SATA adapter that I used to flash my drive, but I did find a USB-SATA cable that makes allows Xbox Backup Creator to use the drive (Start Button/etc. is enabled).
