Title: Pioneer 111d Power Calibration Error

I am trying to burn a backup game in img burn, and i load the dvd file as usual and add a verbatim disc in the drive, set the layer codes manualy, and try to burn.

I use Verbatim double layer dvd+r 8,5 gb 2,4x

The burner is Pioneer 111d with 1.29 firmware.

I have burned many discs before, but it is a long time ago, i now run windows vista.

The error i get is almost in the start and says, I\0 ERROR! ATA Power calibration error.

Anybody got a clue? Its eating up my expensive disc for every new try :S

what method are you using to extract the image?

i changed to a new pack of discs and updated firmware on dvd burner, everythink is working again (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Thx anyway

Vista still has a number of bugs to be worked out and the new firmware update could solve that problem.  However it could be several different things.  You mentioned you switched to a new pack of discs?  Which brand/manufacturer were they?  Some Verbatim is now outsourced to Moser Baer in India.  So if you had problems the first time around and they were MBI produced discs and your next batch of Verbs was produced by the MKM home plant in Singapore then that could easily explain it.  As the MKM home plant produces the best DL media BY FAR!!!!!!!!!!

What firmware did u update to? Isn't 1.29 the latest?

Also, last time I checked you don't need the .dvd file with IMG Burn.  Just select the ISO and burn.
