Title: Backing Up Halo 3

I  bought Halo 3 the legendary edition.  I paid 140 bucks for it.  Whenever i try and burn a backup it will burn the whole thing except the 6th level.  The ARK.  whenever i try to load it, it fails.  every other mission after that is just fine just not the ARK. Can anyone help me with this issue?  I am using a kreon drive and XBOXbackup creator and have tried both backup creator and img burn and both do the same thing

Just use your original disc for that level.

I did use the original disc to get past that part.  but my kids get pissed whenever they get to that level and have to come beg me for my original especially when i am at work

You might want to reburn the same .DVD file to a new DL Disc, I had that same problem with Fanstastic 4, on one of the level load screen always frozed, but since I reburnt it been working just fine.

Oh yea, I also bought the Legendary Edition, burnt it like you did with Kreon, played through the whole game with it no problem.

Thanks i will try that.  the first one the failed on me was a MEMOREX disc and the second one that failed on me was a TDK disc but i will try these STAPLES brand ones and see what happens

I backed mine up with a TS-H943 I use for ripping only (with older xtreme FW) and XBC, burnt to a Memorex DVD+R DL with imgburn, it works perfectly.

Just failed the 6th DL disc.  Everything loads just great except the 6th mission.  All matchmaking works and the forge.  all campaign maps work before and after the 6th but not the 6th.  Is there another alternative to backing up games besides xbox backup creater and img burn?

not yet but i will try to when i get some money.  the other brands that i have used worked just fine before but just not with halo 3

well, if it is your media, chances are down the road you r older burns will start to flake out eventually

Could it possibly be my firmware.  it has not been updated in a while
