try different media (verbatim), and you can try Imgburn to burn.

The trick is to insert your Game Media into the SH-D162C w/XB360 KREON v0.81, and just hit the 'Start' Button.
I have only gotten Coasters by using the 'Unlock Drive' from the 'Drive Tools' Menu, I'm not sure what it's used for, but just inserting the Disc into the Drive and hitting Start is enough to get the Drive to eventually unlock itself and give up all the Security Sectors, DMI and PFI settings.
a SH-D162C, a decent DVD±R/RAM ±DL Burner (please remember to only use +DL Media), and XBC, are all you need to make good Backups of your XBOX/360 Games...

thanks for the advice buddy but I am not having much trouble reading the discs as much as burning them. Actually that is the only problem i have. The only time i couldnt read a xbox 360 game was with a need for speed most wanted game which went exactly on 58.9 % and asked me that there was something missing and if I wanted to fill in with zeros.

Ok well follow the simple rules then:
1) Use good Media (Verbatim's) and make sure that there of the DVD+R DL Type.
2) If your Drive supports Manual Bitsetting make sure it's set to DVD-ROM Booktyping.
3) Just a recommendation but, if your problem is indeed ASPI related, perhaps you should try downloading and installing an ASPI Layer.
ForceASPI v1.7 is perhaps the best program for installing the ASPI Layer on any version of Windows. (Win9x though XP).
4) It might not be apparently obvious, but I gather a Hunch that you might have forgot to set your Burner Options in the XBC, your mistakingly trying to burn your Backup on the SH-D162C, insteed of the LG-4163B, either that or your trying to use DVD-5's maybe?!
Both these reasons could be why your getting the above Error...
P.s. Stupid qustion Time: Did you ever reflash your XBOX360™ DVD Drives' Firmware, so as to be able to use Backups?
Needless to say you'd have to first accomplish this to be able to even use Backups.

thanks for all the help and I got it to finally work. Apparently it was the philips media that wasnt working. I am very suprised since the media went back to its regular price of 79 dollars cdn and it was on sale for 24 bux. I did however get a great deal on 2 packs of verbatims 24 dollars each came up to 54 bux for 40 at futureshop.

oh wow im returning my philips dvds now, do they refund your money?

if you havent opened them they should but if the package was opened i would doubt so. And I hoped you hurried because many of the future shops close to me had ran out of the verbatim dl.
