Title: Top Spin 2 Back Up Freezes
Post by: big_jonas on February 03, 2007, 05:33:00 PM
I want to add that I just was able to play on career mode. I am able to do the training with no problem, but by the time I go to play a tournament either when I server or the computer serves the game freezes. I'm thinking the disc may be scratched, cause if whether the iso image or the burnt process was bad then I wouldn't think the game would load. What do you guys think?

since the game loads and plays fine in part, it seems only some files are corrupted. The likely candidates would be a glitch during rip process or during the burn.

I would personnaly be tempted to rip it again before attempting a new burn.

Hope it helps,

moved to backup

almost,
There is a way to compare the image of your backup to the  burn in this splendid piece of writing on How to verify a Burn (i know, I know  I have to cut on BS a bit  biggrin.gif ).

As far as testing your original against an image, I do not know of any program doing directly that.
For one, depending on the drive you use the ss.bin file may vary by a few bytes (even taken twice in a row with same setup). The game partition should be the same but it is a big file to compare.
Some options could be
1) to extract it again, then extract the game partition(xboxcreator or ssmerger...) of both image and try a compare (something like ultracompare or beyondcompare) or maybe better
2) to extract it again, then extract the file in it using Wx360 and then compare (with same tools as above).
you can try, I havent and not sure how it will work,

hope it helps, soso

Here's my update.

I used Schtrom360XtractV3.1.exe to extract the image using whole disc (stealth xtreme 3.0) and to verify it using tools - AcidFlash image stealth check. It verified ok, I copied the game using ImgBurn and now i'm playing the back up.

Thanks for your help...
