Title: Prey Backup - Xbc Get Security Sector Failed

This is the first time I have encountered this problem.  All firmware is updated, I have the latest version of everything.  My other games that I own, have backed up flawlessly.  When I run Xbox Backup Creator and attempt to read with my SH-D162C drive I get a pop-up that states:

Action: Read Security Sector
Sense Error: 6 / 29 / 00
POWER ON,RESET, OR BUS DEVICE RESET OCCURED
CDB: READ DVD STRUCTURE
0Xad 00 ff 02 fd ff fe 00 08 00 01 c0

The log states Get Security Sector Failes; Retrying again

And no, I am not trying to backup a backup.  This is a store bought original.

Any ideas?

retry one of your other original just to be sure that nothing has changed like your sh-d162c dropping from DMA to PIO.

also you can try extracting with Schtrom 3.1

or with XBCr the game partition only (select current partition), and each pieces (ss, dmi, pfi) separately and then merge with SSmerger1.7b .

Tried Schtrom360Xtract V3.1 and got an error stating use whole disc(blank) and inject video.iso later.  Tried this then got the following error:

Function: MyExtractSecurity Sector
SubFunction: MySendCDB
Return Code: 2
The sempahore timeout period has expired.

I also tried Xbox Backup Creator again and tried to extract just the SS and I got the same error as original.

I have cleaned My disc althought their are some very light scratches.

Backed up Call of Duty III with no problem.

I would try dvdinfopro  here to extract the ss.

If it does not work and the original is working OK in your x360, you may have to use your x360 drive to get the ss.bin.

Hey all...

I had this same problem!

12.27pm
I simply rebooted PC and then reset it all up with XBCr and it went through the security check fine .... just doing the sec checks and patching as we speak......

Update: 12.33

Did
abgx360 check ... and it passed Stealth (Basic) but no patch image avaliable online.

will burn and see what happens...

UPDATE: 1.18pm
Just completed Burn with XBCr (using IMGBURN as CORE BURNER) .... and ..... testing now on xbox360...

Does not WORK (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) says PLAY DVD!) BUmmer

I got the game copied .... but it gives a PLAY DVD error......

Any ideas how to fix?
