Title: Cover Software
Post by: cerealkillajme on January 26, 2007, 11:32:00 AM
If you mean disc labels then don't use them, use printable discs. Labeled discs will be unbalanced and wear your laser out faster, trust me, don't use CD labels.

When the disc is spinning unbalanced the laser has to work harder to read the specific spot on the disc, harder the laser has to work the more it cuts down on it's lifespan.

I used to use Surething software (forget the exact name, but Surething makes it), "Click and Design" (think Memorex makes that one, I rate this highest besides my Epson software) and "Memorex Expressit" and a few others I can't think of anymore. Not sure what printer you have, but I have the Epson R380 and it came with "Epson Print CD" software, I find that much better than anything I've used before and very user friendly.

Not sure, but I believe all of those softwares are free from the manufacturers website too  smile.gif

The surething software used to have a light version ( free)  on the site of lightscribe.com. Not sure if still there.
Also Nero has a label software (if you have Nero), but I do not use it much so not sure if it is any good.
