Well I someohow had something in my xbox connect and create a circut. It was a few leds whome touched together connecting the 5 volts from the psu directly to its ground. Now it wont turn on. WTF! Its a 1.6 xbox PLEASE help ASAP!
-
probably a blown fuse, but im not sure on the 1.6 if there is anything different. just check the fuse, and also look for any blown capacitors
-
So your saying it IS repairable? YES!
-
Would the shorted thingy be on the PSU? I have another PSU i think i could use but its not a v 1.6 its a 1.4. Is there anyway I could get that to work?
-
ok i check everything! NOTHIN IS BURNT OR ANYTHING! Everything looks fine, no signs of short circuting at all. WTF is wrong?
-
?

Seriously i need some help now. The stupid thing got a short circut on its 5v line. I checked everywhere on the stupid mobo and psu and there are no signs of burning or burnt components. What should I do? I need this damn thing to work! WHat do you normally do when you get a short circut??? Oh and do you think the tut on resurecting a dead 1.6 mobo would work in this case? Please dont just read this and brush it off if you have any info. Ive been searching on threads about short circuting with no luck. Please I really need to fix this

Double post

calm down ADHD
-
How about not buddy. Maybe instead of posting useless info you could actually help. But no you have to post a stupid comment!
-
im just saying 7 posts in 2 hours for the same problem is a bit excessive.
dont be so
-
maybe i just want to get it fixed. And ACTUALLY 1 of them was a double post. Maybe you should just shut up and focus on helping other people rather than being all nubish and going from topic to topic claming people have ADHD. Im not trying to be rude but if all you have to say is crap, dont spam my threads!
-
FYI - i may be a n00b on the board, but im not the one with the jacked up xbox.
-
did you check the transistor like it shows in the 1.6 resurection tutorial?
It is highly likly that that is the problem because that part is fairly sensitive. It is also posible that you dammaged the 1.6 power supply. I would start with the 1.6 resurection tutorial test and check the fuse on the power suply. Last I would try a different power supply. It has to be another 1.6. the 1.4, although it has the same connector, is completly different.

Things don't have to look burnt to be dead.
you cooked your PSU.
"ADHD boy."
freaking out is not going to help you. gobs of posts in under 2 hours is just being wack.

inacst all 3 of your post were meaningless so if you gonna bitch about lame posts start with yours. Also I got i fixed, the thing just had 2 sit there a while i guess, or maybe it hated me for modding then suddenly decided it didnt 6 hrs later. I dont really know. But anyway Thanks for the posts that actually had something to do with the topic. Hint hint!

Hey im pretty sure the only posting rule applies in the BST forums. Also maybe i wanted the question answered quickly, it not like i posted 7 times a min, i wasnt that insane. And i wasnt threatening to kill people if i didnt get answered. Besides all you are doing right now is contributing more usess posts!?!? I simply told him his post were meaningless. NB now your posts are looking more and more like spam. I was initally thanking you for helping me out (except the last part of your post which was also uncalled for). Now it seems more and more people on the scene like to post shit about people for little mistakes. All I did was post, go down for a while and figure stuff out on the box, come up and post again. I didnt know people would keep count and time in order to flame me with 13 yr old reponses like , "Dur you ADHD im a stupid little kiddy". Could a mod or lock this befor some other immature or bored indavidual dicedes to convert my thread to a personal spam page. Maybe we need to go through XS training where you laern not to flame to let out built up anger.
