Title: Xtreme 51 And 0800 Disc
Post by: DarkSabre_X on December 29, 2006, 08:46:00 AM
Hey i had a quick question.  Since xtreme 51 plays backups on a SL disc will it run the 0800 enable disc burnt on a SL disc or does it still have to be burned on a DL disc for it to work correctly?
thanx in advanced

hi DarkSabre_X, i did see somewhere in the forum that someone did a sl 0800 iso and it works.  eversince v5.0 this support of sl, even for 0800, is there.

QUOTE
(V5.0) Single Layer DVD disc support(+/-R) for both Xbox1 and 360
(V5.0) Xbox1 file ISO support - burn just game files to disk in ISO format
(V5.0) Xbox1 file ISO capacity increase to utilise full disk space for single layer
(v5.0) 360 file ISO support (Work in progress. New QWIX tool to come)
(V5.0) Supports older style XBox1 disk format (just burn game.iso)
(v5.0) Enable0800 disk now supported on single layer disk

i believe that in sl, dvd+r needed to be set to dvd-rom, which some burner does not set it automatically, even though it set dvd+r dl automatically.  i would also think that if you try a dvd-r or dvd-rw, this may work as a 0800 sl under v5.x.  just my thoughts.  cheers.

WOW i read that readme like 5 or 6 times and my eyes just glazed over it. and i can't believe i missed the sl 0800 post. i checked thoroughly,  guess not thoroughly enough.  Guess it was the via fw upgrade that i did that did the trick.  oh well.  too bad i wasted a verbie.  oh well you live and learn.  wish someone else had dropped in and commented before i started burnin discs.
