As far as I know all release drives can be flashed - some with a bit more effort than others. I'd say look out for the Toshiba-Samsung model, as this is the most common, well-known and documented drive to flash for backup purposes.
Google for pics to distinguish the drives by the design of their tray tables, that why you don't have to search for serial numbers or try to open the xbox360 to find this out.
