I have been using the Office Depot DL's (ritek) for 2 months and zero problems in my 360 (samsung25).

Burner is NEC 3550A.

It burns at 2.5 speed.

ANYONE know how to burns these disks FASTER than 2.5 with success.

Please let us know ... what burner and what firmware ... thanks.

How many times do I have to say it.  Ritek is questionable quality media to begin with so consider yourselves lucky to even be able to get good burns at 2.4x.  If you want good quality burns then GET VERBATIM.  They will burn fine at 4x or 6x (and in some cases 8x).

I guess I am lucky in more than one way ... since Riteks work 100 percent for me and they were 5 dollars for 25 of them when I picked up my last batch! smile.gif

Now ONLY those that have Riteks Working for them ... respond to this Question ... "Can you SHARE which BURNER that you have that BURNS these Ritek's at 4 , 6 or 8x."
  Thanks in advance.

P.S.  I understand that Verbatim's are the BEST ... but they are more than 5 dollars for 25 of them!
In the past for xbox 1 I did use TY and in the beginning of 360 I was using Verbatim's.   love.gif

You don't get it man.  YOU CANNOT BURN THESE DISCS AT ANY HIGHER THAN 2.4x.  If they happened to be the official 8x rated discs then that would be possible but the Verbatim 2.4x D/L discs are the only ones that can burn faster than 2.4x.  This is like asking "How do you burn 4x Princo higher than 4x?" The fact of the matter is that the media is not of a high enough quality to be able to support such burns.  Be happy that you have working discs at all.  You get what you pay for. wink.gif

Please, I know you are trying to be helpful and NEWBIES should use Verbatim's , but I am interested in the More Experienced USER that can help me narrow down SUCCESSFUL Burns at HIGHER SPEED (need to know equipment and firmware)

Also, I know I am lucky to get them to work at 100 percent at 2.4x speed  for such cheap quality disks (although I don't know how lucky, since I asked people in past HOW to GET THEM TO WORK I GOT the BURNER and FIRMER that OTHERS SAID WORKED... and LOW and BEHOLD it worked for me too.   I would like to be even LUCKIER to burn them at 4,6,or 8x... SO I'm asking again for HIGHER SPEED PLEASE.  smile.gif
You do understand what I'm saying , don't you! smile.gif smile.gif

P.S. Most people go about it the WRONG way... they use these disks on equipment they own and YES lots of times it will NOT work.  I go about it the OTHER WAY ... I find out the PEOPLE who get it to WORK and COPY them.  smile.gif

Update:
Burning at 8x with no problems. Burn is complete in 20 minutes (compared with 40 minutes at 2.4) drive automactically adjusts speed as burning from 4x up to 8x as needed....with SUCCESS!

Used a free program called "MediaCodeSpeedEdit" to edit firmware. Use with caution.

P.S. I'm gonna stick to 2.4x speed for 360 stuff!  love.gif
