The most people are succesful with CloneCD and Verbatim discs - If you don't have a good burner, I would suggest the Pioneer 111D.

Hoped it was helpful.

What format? I don't really understand you, try to express you more clearly.

You can download a try-out version of CloneCD on their website, the full version you would have to pay for.

Well, I think you have a 30 day trial on CloneCD, but you have the full feature list, pretty nice biggrin.gif

You need to use the Verbatim DVD-R DL (Double Layer), to burn your backups to.

Yes.  If you don't believe me, ask elsewhere.

You're ordinary DVD discs can only hold 4.7 GB and the double layer discs can hold 7.4 GB or something like that. It is neccesary with double layer discs, as the games usually are 6 - 7 - 8 GB.

Then the ordinary DVD's is your call.

CloneCD or CloneDVD, they do CD's and DVD's good both, it's your choice.

I presume, but I advise you to consult a more expirienced Xbox360 modder, just to be 110 % secure.

I believe you need to use DVD+R - Changed my opinion (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

No it will not play.
You need to re-rip the original including SS and burn to dual layer
the method is here HERE

Doesn't matter....downloading copyrighted files (regardless if you own the original) is illegal and not tolerated by these forums.  Please read the rules and try to follow them in the future.

well, i aint bothered, u ppl either will help or u wont, it aint a question of wheather i download or not. it is a question on the forum title. so, whats the difference in the law of downloading files u already own and have payed for and hacking the xbox itself? hmm?

Not the point.  The point is that talk of downloading games is against the forum rules...plain and simple.  but.......since you brought it up........The difference is huge....hacking the xbox/360 to play legally backed up games is not in it self illegal.  The files to do so are usually questionable, but with the recent release of firmware patches (no copyrighted code) it is completely legal.  Downloading games over the internet is completely different, because you are legally allowed to backup 1 copy of your own game, from that game, not your friends, not the internet, YOURS.

hey, thanks, yeah, i think ill do that, so, is it legal if i do the whole thing at a friends house? because he is the only one i know that has a dual layer writer that can easily be hotswaped. thx
