Title: Wrong File Size Detected In Isobuster
Post by: boofie75 on October 14, 2006, 06:22:00 AM
From what I've read, a lot of people with Hitachis are having problems with IsoBuster, myself included.  Wxripper is said to work much better, but you need a DVD drive you can take apart.

btw the pull off power cord while the tray is open and put it in and press power thing,   the tray is closing. so there is something wrong.

First of all, make sure your hotswap (movie DVD) disc is a bit bigger - 7.5gig or greater.  I doubt that'll change your IsoBuster situation, but wxripper will tell you 6.98 gig is too small.

I was also hoping for an alternative to the wxripper method, because IsoBuster is giving me the same problem as you.

Can anyone out there help us?

Oops, didn't see this part before - After doing the power cord trick, see how many times you have to press eject to get the tray to open/close.  If it takes two presses just to open it once or close it once, you're in modeB.

It is ok if the tray closes when you turn on the 360.

The only method I have been able to use with the Hitachi 47 drive is hotswap the discs. The easiest way to backup with this method is using wxripper. Using the method in the readme file with the firmware will not work as the game partition on the disc is not getting unlocked.

I think with these latest firmwares, the hitachi will not unlock the game partition, so hotswapping is really the only way to do it.
