No problem, and sorry for the confusion. I just ment, do I need to have my 360 drive hooked up to my PC everytime I need to make a back-up playable?

It doesn't have to be from this seller but that actual drive will save you from opening your 360 ever again

Are you asking if you have to have the drive hooked up to the PC when booting a backup...or when making one? Your last word in that question threw me off.
