why ?  i dont know,

maybe bad dvd , maybe firmware bug,

LATE> I had this exact same problem with Ghost Recon, I'm now led to believe that it is again, a media issue. Its something about cheap media that the manufacturers don't evenly spread the dye at the end of the discs, so you don't get a full capacity disc, probably missing a few MB's. What discs are you using? I was using Traxdata, but like I've said in another forum I'm sticking to Verbatims.
