is this the pioneer burner everyone is raving about

and to hook my 360 dvd drive to my computer to flash the firmware, i have no sata ports on my motherboard but i have a sata to usb converter, could i use that and plug it in to a usb port?

Yeh thats the burner...   I think Ive read that you may have trouble with a SATA to USB cable.. I think that peeps are getting SATA to PCI cards... But you'd need to check what types are working and if thats the case..  I haven't researched to deep as have got SATA on MOBO...

i heard on another forum that to use the sata to usb i had to use the auto flasher thing since the usb thing wouldnt work in dos. anyone else have an opinion on that, and does the auto flasher flash the xtereme firmware or its own? i dont have any pci slots left to get a sata pci card.
