Nope, 111D means that it can not burn DVD-RAM.

most everyone here uses the 111D(BK,SV) (beige,BlacK,SilVer) flashed to 1.23 TDB firmware.

I actually got better results with my lite-on SOHW-1693S with KS0B

Actually it makes no difference if you buy the 111 or the 111D as they have completley the same hardware and there is a simple way to crossflash the D-version.

I have the 111 here, formerly with 1.06, now with 1.23 firmware. Xbox reads every brand of DL discs I burned with the pioneer.

Hi guys,

I just got my 111d today and it has firmware 1.19.  Should I leave it alone or update to 1.23?
Where can I get the firmware you guys are talking about, 1.23?
Thanks!

I have a DVR-110D (which I assume is one revision older than the 111D), will this work the same as the DVR-111D, or did I buy mine at the wrong time (like usual!)?  blink.gif

110D will do fine in burning X360 backups.

Thanks for the reply. Since you seem to know about this drive, can you tell me if I need a certain firmware version to have the ability to create backups? I left mine stock, which is version 1.11. Thank you again for your help.

After i read everyone here saying the Pioneer was the best burner to use, i bought a 111D. I got more errors burning with it than i have ever gotten with any burner. Verbatim or Ritek media, it didn't matter, clone CD would error before burning anything. I went back to my NEC 3550 and never an error burning and unlike the few successful burns i did get with the Pioneer the ones burnt with the NEC boot up the first time every time.

The NEC 3550 does not do bitsetting stock ... you just need to get the Liggy-Dee firmware for it and it works great.

i think there was a problem with 1.29,not sure it could hv been a different version...but you should do a search, i remember reading about it here

1.23 is the version that works for sure cuz i use it
