have you tried any other game?
Why did you upgrade the fw on the burner?
are you burning at 1x?

Edit:

I had this problem until I merged the correct ss.bin file.  Now it is recognized as a game.

Well, I've got the SS files for both the Full Auto and MotoGP and when I use XBOX360 SS Merger 1.6, the SS File MD5 after I detect it matches the required SS File MD5, so it shows green, then all i needa do is click the giant merge button right? and then burn with cloneCD? What software are you using to burn? Thanx for the help, I appreciate it.

Backups that are made with NEC burners do not seem to work with hitachi drives.....

problem is your burner
pick yourself up a pioneer dvr-111d for 40 bucks

"nope, I haven't tried any other games b/c I can't seem to find a dvd around here that is over 8gb to use with wxripper."

why dont u take one of your DL media and fill it to capacity with data and use that as your swap disc??

I too have this exact problem. I have the hitachi dirve and  just burned my first backup with LG gsa-4120 burner on imation +rdl media. Everything seemed to go ok but no success. I tried the hdd trick bu still it boots to the music player. I burnt with dvddecrypter so I'll try again with clonecd. I'm pretty sure that bittsetting is set at dvd-rom and I merged the ss to the image with no probz sad.gif.

Maybe this is just beginners bad luck..
Any insight to this matter is appreciated smile.gif

don't bother, its your burner, and possibly your media too. But mainly you need a different burner, that was my problem for this situation, I had an LG GSA-4166B
