Title: Making A Working Backup Without 360 Drive
Post by: ILLusions0fGrander on June 20, 2006, 05:37:00 PM
this is pretty well covered in the already existing threads.

the paper clip in emergency hole doesnt work because when you use it, it drops the laser, and pushing the tray back in doesnt push it back up, so it doesnt read the disk.

No there is no other way, but hey don't sweat it. I've got a Pioneer 111D coming soon too and I head it's really easy to take off the top compared to other drives. All you need is a simple phillips screwdriver.

hey dude, when you said the emergency hole drops the laser your correct, but when wx re spins the drive back up, the laser comes back up. Thats from my situation with the same burner, and my nec 3540A burner, good luck on your backups man  pop.gif

I agree with above. I have read even on this same board, people with the pioneer dvr-111d DVD Recorder have used the emer. eject method and it worked for them. So just try it. If you get crc errors (like I did) then just take off the top and enter ps2 swap disk land.
