First make sure your booktype is set to DVD-ROM by using DVDinfopro or Nero in the recorder settings. Next, make sure you patched the .iso with the proper ss.bin using SS merger 1.6 program. Then when you have those 2 things done, load CloneCD newest version and load up the .dvd file that ss merger made for you and burn at 2.4x and ur set.

If you have a hiatchi, i doubt your backup will work cause you get a crappy burner like me. Mine was a LG GSA-4166B

The best media known to work is verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL like I have. (Not sure how to tell the media code is MXM, but that's the best as well)

thnx alot xcited..so after im done burnin it..if i just pop i the dvdr will my 360 let me pay the game

has anyone used memorex dvd+r dl discs yet, i am getting ready to burn a game for my hitachi..also how can you know if the ss file is ok...no way to really compare with hitachi owners i have just found a website to download em

dont mention downloading illegal files.

when you open the ISO in ss merger 1.6, it will check the MD5 and match it against its database, if you select the correct (correct to the app) ss file, then it will show green, and you select "merge and inject" or whatever it says.

then, as far as i know, you burn it following the guide with CloneCD, and play in your modded drive.

i already told you in another thread.. yes you need hacked firmware to run backups.
