So, I was reading up on using HDMI at the same time as the regular A/V cable for its RCA audio jacks. I just happened to already have the Mad Catz universal A/V cable which is small enough to fit the HDMI cable. Yet it did not put out any sound.
Ok, maybe it's something funky with it being a third-party accessory. So I search my old official cord, pop the casing, and plug that in. Again, nothing with the switch in either HD or TV settings. Every article I find all over the internets says how simple the procedure is, just plug it in and it works. Am I missing something? Was there some dashboard update or something to prevent these and to keep MS's accessory income coming in?
