Hi,  
I updated my unmodded xbox 360 elite with the new dash update and now I can no longer play american DVDs.     Every american dvd I put in gives me   the  "Cannot play DVD This disc is not the correct Region".   All games work properly and I happen to own 1 UK DVD and it plays fine.   I called XBOX and they basically told me to go fuck myself (Xbox is out of warranty).  I would have to pay like 80 bucks to get fixed.  I can buy a dvd player for that much.  

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
