Title: Benq E2200hd
Post by: Protolisk on December 07, 2008, 01:04:00 AM
Just to let you guys know the BenQ has HDMI input and is 16:9. It also says its full HD. There's also a 24" version. But has anyone tried it? I want to get this monitor but I want to know if there's any really bad problems with it and xbox 360.

Great monitor for console gaming.  It's native res is 1080p (1920x1080), so there will be no stretching/upscaling. The only thing i can see wrong with it, is the 5ms response time.  For fast movement games, such as FPS, you want one with 2ms.

Does it make a huge amount of difference?

No, there is not that big of a difference, there's probably not a person alive that could actually notice the difference between 5ms and 2ms (which would be 1/333rd of a second). A millisecond (ms) is 1/1000 of a second - if you're using a DLP TV with 35ms response or something, then yes, that is actually noticeable (but moreso on games like Rock Band than anything else). A bee flaps it's wings at 5ms, or 200 times per second, for reference.

ahhhhh I see. Do you know a site which tells you the static contrast ratios of monitors?
