if your going to do it, i suggest you use a heatgun or a butane torch, it will make it much easier

Definitely a heat gun would be your best bet for desoldering, hopefully you can get the whole thing off in one go. Just make sure you don't heat anything that doesn't need heating. Once you get them both off, provided there's not a bunch of extra solder in the soon-to-be-fixed system's "holes" you can pop the other A/V port in and resolder all the joints one at a time.

with a heat gun you have to be VERY CAREFUL with all the SMD components around the Av port like caps and resistors etc..... Use flux if you can....
also be careful not to heat it too much and the inside of your av port is plastic and plastic melts when it get hot ...

search for the x-clamp replacement method. that symptom is an early sign of the 3ROD. you shouldnt have to replace the AV port at all.
but if you do replace it, another tip is to apply a bit of solder to the grounding pins with a soldering iron, otherwise it will take a while with a heatgun to get them all melted at the same time
