Title: What Are My Options For E 74 Error? Thanks

I have the damn E74 error showing so i took out my av cable and used the hdmi cable but i still get the error. I am assuming its not the cable and the system now, what are my options if i can't send it to microsoft?>

Your options

1) (Ideally) Send it back to microsoft
2) Get your board reflowed.
3) Try one of the X-clamp mods (following a motherboard reflow if at all possible.).
4) Take a heat-gun to your box
5) Try "the towel trick"

Those are my suggestions, in order from best to worst. I've had an E74 for months, and I still can't bring it back to life, even enough to isolate where the problem is.
