Title: Q: Vga Cable -> Widescreen Monitor At 1440x900 Quality?
Post by: angrykid on August 15, 2007, 08:55:00 AM
In a few months I'll be moving off the school and don't have an hdtv (nor can I afford one) so I'll want to connect my 360 to my computer's widescreen LCD.  In windows under the DVI connection from my PC max res is only 1440x900.  There are 2 connections on the LCD (dvi AND vga) so if I connect the 360 via vga add on cables will I still be limited to that resolution or would it go higher?  technically though that resolution is higher than 720P so it should look awesome no matter what right?  I'm going to be sitting very close to be watching this as it is only a 19" display.
Thanks for any answers.

THe 360 does not support 1440*900, so you will have to play around with the some different resolutions on your 360 to see what looks the best. Your monitor will scale the image to fit its native resolution. I have a feeling that 1280*768 will give the best results, as this is a 16:10 aspect like your 1440*900.
