Post by: Bigmurray on April 29, 2007, 01:15:00 AM
i have a 19" hanns g widescreen monitor on my pc and am thinking of using it for my xbox360,
It has a native resolution of 1440 x 900 , will this work ok and what would be the best resolution to set my console.

Hi

the 360 doesn't (yet) support the 1440 x 900 resolution of a 19" widescreen
monitor...this is mainly because pc monitors are 16:10 ratio rather than
16:9 ratio as per tv's.

i used to use an acer 19" w/s monitor with my 360 and found that 1366 x 768
was the best resolution....1280 x 720 left small black bars at the top and bottom
of the screen.

 I agree with stepeters ^^^

I had a 19" Widescreen HannsG (HW191D) setup on my 360 and had to run it at 1366 x768, but it looked great.

sometimes things that should have been round were squashed or stretched slightly (logos' and button icons) but that is because of the 16:10 ratio, hopefully they'll add more resolutions in the new update.

Now using the monitor on my pc as I got a new TV (HannSpree 32")
