Title: 360 1080p Output Problem
Post by: Gamer_from_2080 on February 23, 2007, 05:19:00 PM
I am using a 42" Toshiba LCD TV whick supports 1080P (says right on the TV). I have the HD cables and its hooked up to my tv but when I play it it will only play in 1080i. When Im on the dashboard I select 1080p but when I do, the screen goes black and I have to go by memory to reselect the 1080i then the picture will comeback up. Does anyone know how to fix this or know why its doing this.

That's odd. Try a VGA cable.

Edit: I assume your 360 has the latest xbox LIVE update correct?

Yeah I had the update. Does anyone else know if the VGA cables will support 1080p?

The 360 supports 1080p over component and vga.

Your HDTV only supports 1080p over hdmi and vga.

Therefore you can only use vga for 1080p on the 360.

Also, please post topics in the appropriate section next time.
