Title: Calibrating My Tv For Xbox 360?
Post by: richie579 on November 11, 2006, 04:24:00 PM
I have a 30" 1080i samsung crt, I can tell you on this setup the 360 480p dvd output black level doesn't match hidef black level output, the 480p is much brighter, I calibrated my set with Digital Video Essentials on a sony ns-575p dvd player(black level is closer to the 360 hidef black level), the 360 hidef output looks pretty damn good with that.

So what do you recommend I do? I'm not gonna go buy a DVD player just for calibration  tongue.gif

Uhh....Digital Video Essentials is a DVD...not a DVD player.

I misread the post. I thought he was saying the DVD player was the reason he was able to get closer calibrations because the Xbox 360 dvd player screwed with the black levels.
