Title: Problem With 720p

For the networking problems: set your 360/comp to a static address.  Trust me, it works wonders.

For the other 720/1080 problem?  First, make sure your television does support 720p.  I've seen a couple that go from 480 straight to 1080, but can't do 720.  I know you said it worked, but only for a short while.  I don't think a game update could fuxxor a 360 in the A/V department, but you never know.

I just tried different static IP's on the xbox and the PC. It still gets connected to live, notices theres an update, attempts to download it but fails in the beginning. Like there is a timeout or something... sad.gif

Got the Live thingie fixed atleast. Called the swedish xbox360 support for live. Explained what I've tried and the guy I talked to proposed I change my MTU value. Did that and everything worked! smile.gif

Big props to MS support.

The problem with 720p remains though, still happens when using component. Will try with VGA cables tomorrow and see if it happens when using those. Will also try my xbox using component tomorrow in 720p.

Well, the proplem does not occur when using VGA cable. Haven't tried my xbox using 720p yet though, will do that later today and hope it will work fine... tongue.gif

One thought crossed my mind though, could it be something like my TV not supporting 720p in 60Hz? Just a thought...

If it's a 1080p display, it seems logical that it would support 720p at 60hz, but I don't know anything about Amoi displays.  I would think the LCD panel is probably manufactured by Chi Mei like mine (I have a 37" 1080p from Westinghouse) and mine has no problems with xbox 360 720p (720p from xbox1 is another story though...)
