Title: Optical Audio Connection Through Sb Audigy2nx Usb Not Working Properly
Post by: strikeout on July 09, 2006, 10:48:00 AM
I Have my 360 connected through my external usb SB audigy 2 NX "sound card" for my pc, i have a 5.1 creative speaker system hooked up to said audigy 2 NX.
when i select in the xbox 360 audio options for digital out. the three options are DIgital Stereo,  DOlby DIgital 5.1, and dolby Digital 5.1 with WMA support
I don't get sound on anything but digital stereo and only through my 2 front speakers and my sub.
im getting a tad bit frustrated with this and haven't been able to find a viable solution anywhere on creative's site or xbox's site.  and if this has already been posted im sorry but I also can't get the search function for this message board to work.

Ok, I found the answer I'm looking for, not happy with it. I'm using the Digitlal I/O Module addon for my X-FI which Creative states at this page http://193.95.171.84...s.creative.com/
I have to use Digital Stereo, unless I use one of the other two options they have on that page. I hate when I waste money. Good thing it was only $15. Oh well it still sound pretty good upmixed.

Strikeout I'm guessing that will be your only option as well.
