Title: Amazon And Walmart Said My Hdtv Supports 720p

Guys, I am happy to say I just bought a Samsung 30" widescreen DynaFlat HDTV. for 450 canadian (really 500 canadian with tax...)

So what's this 720 p my tv is supporting then? So there is no way my 360 can take an advantage over 720p?

when they said it supports 720p they didnt exactly lie, your tv will upconvert the 720p signal and display it as 1080i

oh, for instance if I watch a 720p movie trailer it'll automaticly upconvert that into 1080i?

Thats pretty much the idea, it take the image upscales it then interlaces it. If it was a 480i image, it will take that de-interlace it upscale it to 1080p and re-interlace it to 1080i which is what gets displayed.
