i opened my 360 already to faff around in there, so i already know my way around, and i found a pinout diagram, too.
why did i mention that stuff? to preempt any posts along the lines of "just use optical", "buy an optical switcher", or my own personal favourite, "you'll void your warranty, dude it's not worth it"
basically, i want to know if anyone else has attempted this mod. i'm assuming i'd just do what i did with the xbox one, which is to connect the pin that would go to the rgb scart's toslink thingy to the centre of a phono socket, and ground the outside of that socket. just want some words of encouragement before i take the plunge tomorrow!
will post pics when it's done, provided i can find a nice spot for the actual socket (i may have to be lame and get an inline socket and have the wire poking out from somewhere if worst comes to worst)

it works, too!
i didn't bother bridging any pins like i did with the xbox (to enable coax even if the advanced scart isn't connected) as the only cables i have are the hi-def one and rgb, and both these have optical anyway.
still deciding on where to drill the hole. i think i'm just going to stick it where the serial sticker is - i don't care about the wireless adapter

s video should be no problem following the pinout. you'd do exactly the same as i did, but just solder some wires to an svideo connector then stick that on the outer casing somewhere...

IIRC the 360 doesn't require any jumpers to enable/disable digital audio I believe it's always enabled.
As for S-Video stuff.. I'm curious in that myself, I've yet to see it mapped out on any of the AV pinouts..
I actually bought a cheap $10 S-Video cable in hopes of figuring it out... I just haven't got around to testing the pins on it.

considering it uses the same pins for component as it does for rgb (just sends a different signal) i'm assuming the same applies to s-video.
is s-video widely used in the states? i know rgb isn't - it's a euro thing, we love it here
, so wondering if s-video isn't common there that might explain why noone's actually put the effort in to look for it

One problem is that the 360 only comes with RCA and/or component video cables; the S-video cable is extra. The only reason I purchased one is because at the time I reserved my 360, it was the best input available on my TV, and I only ended up keeping it for trips out of town, to hook up to hotel/family members' TVs.
The other problem, IMHO, is that the kinds of people interested in the pinouts already have HDTVs and can't be bothered to buy S-video cables that will never be used.
