1st: this is the only forum you should have posted this in
2nd: you posted a link to a picture of the official cable... but said you didn't buy the official cable, so what did you buy?
3rd: REMOVE the VGA cable from the back of the monitor and plug your cable directly into it (I've NEVER seen an LCD that didn't allow you to do this). If you can't do that you need a "female/female" VGA adapter

4th: For audio it completely depends on what your screen has for inputs (using the built in speakers of your monitor is blasphemy IMO but whatever) I would assume it has what looks like a headphone jack? If that's the case then you need a stereo 1/8th in male to 2 RCA female adapter. Both This cable and the female/female VGA adapter should be included with the official VGA cable, however it's not included with the cheap 3rd party crap.

5th: ALL of this information is covered in the sticky at the top of this forum, so you could have answered you own question without posting anything.
