Title: Is There Such Thing As An Lcd With Built In Hdtv Turner?
Post by: ModdingManiac on April 14, 2006, 04:43:00 PM
If the above questions sounds stupid, its because I don't know nothing about video/audio formats so go easy on me, I'm an electronics technician not a Video/Audio expert.

Basically I'm looking for a small LCD TV (well it doesn't have to be LCD, just not huge) between 15"-20" in size for my workstation.  I want to be able to test systems as they go out in 720p or 1080 format.  I'm not looking to play games on it, just to test make sure the systems are working fine with the different formats so I don't need anything fancy.  I  want it to have the HDTV feature built in so I don't have to buy another HDTV Turner Box.

Any suggestions, or is this not possible?.  I've been looking around but none of the TVs advertise say whether the HDTV support they have is built in or if I need to buy extra equipment to make it work.

Thanks

You don't need an HDTV tuner to view the original xbox in HD.  All you'd need is the component cables and a monitor with component inputs that can display HD resolutions.
