Title: Vga: 1280x720 And 1280x1024-letterbox?

Does anyone think the xbox360 would have vga output options for both 1280x720 and 1280x1024-letterbox? 1280x1024-letterbox means that there is a 1280x720 image inside a 1280x1024 screen, with black bars on the top and bottom. I think 1280x1024-letterbox support is important because I have used two Dell LCD monitors that do not have an option to disable the stretching of a non-resolution-optimal image to fit the screen. So on such monitors, if the xbox360 can only output 1280x720, then the image would be horribly stretched vertically to 1280x1024.

My ATI card has an option to add the black bars so to 'trick' the monitor to not stretch the screen, so I'm hoping the xbox360 will have the same feature. Is this a concern for anyone else? I'm currently forced to play my xbox, which is connected to my lcd via a component-to-vga box, in 480p mode since anything above that would be vertically stretched.

Unfortunately if the game developer chooses to only natively support 16:9 those playing with 4:3 Display will only have options such as letterbox (black bars top and bottom), stretch (stretch the game vertically to fit), and zoom (cuts off the left and right sides and zooms to fit). (though It is my personal opinion that developers would be foolish to not support both 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios, and most games probably will support them both.)
