Yes it will read from burnable media
Yes it will read windows video formats (Mpeg2, wmv9, etc)
No it will not support non windows video formats like divx and xvid

We aren't sure about the streaming capabilities for the media center. All you need to do is figure out what other Media center extensons can stream and that is what the Xbox 360 will stream.
