Title: Hdtv On Pal System?

I just wanted to check. Will the UK x360 output HD or will it be the same as all other UK machines (i.e DVD players, GC, PS2 and XBOX) where HD is closed off for PAL signals due to there being no set standard or macrovision available for it yet?

This will definetely govern whether or not I will import!

Hang on. What about game releases though? Surely they won't be simultaneous.

Yeah I assumed that.

One thing I have been wondering as well, which i haven't found any information on (i read almost all articles that I can find), is the 360 going to be region free like the xbox with publishers having a choice of whether or not to impose lock out OR is it going to be completely region free? I hope it doesn't have coimplete lockout, hopefully M$ will have learnt that not having region encoding will slow down circumvention development a little and deter many from even bothering to mod their machines. Although I for one will always have a standard machine and a mod / homebrew machine when it becomes viable.
