Title: Oblivion New Shader Engine And Other Graphical Improvements

The all waited for graphical patch for oblivion has been released today.  This includes...

1) New shader engine:

- Distant enviroment texture resolution have been increased: no more "pee soup" washout look.
- Close up environment textures have geen overhauled.

2) Increased LOD:

- Draw distance has been pushed back

3) Runs smoother:

- Less hitching when traveling in the outside.  i.e. better framerate


Suck on that ps3 oblivion

Well after I found out that the patch made my game slightly less laggy and better windows in the houses, I then realized I had lost all fun in the game since now I cant fill a barrel with gems or anything fun anymore... no health potions... no varla stones.... no fun.... again no fun.... once again... no fun...


is there any way to edit this game to make duplication re-appear?

the patch is on the hd right? Im gonna get the HD transfer kit and try and remove it. I also miss the duping.

I have never used the duping. I think it is lame and wish it were never there. It was a bug whether people liked it or not and I would not just let a bug stay in my code (I write software for a living.) Having said that, I am also going to provide the answer you are looking for:

lol.... funny how this trick got so popular after this update... also thi game had one of the best bugs IMO

If this just came out, why does the date on the article read June 7, 2006?
