I was wondering if there is a difference in dongles between those generic dvd remotes that you can buy on ebay etc... than the one made by MS because I have one of the generic ones I posted picture of the one I have below... But I see people saying there TV RCA remotes work with there dongle I have a generic one and it doesnt work with none of my RCA remotes but since I got this generic one I was just wondering if only the MS Dongle was compatible with all the rca remotes that have DVD button on em etc...

I don't know about the generic dongles, but I do know that the M$ dongle works with RCA's OBC. <

Obviously that is the case, if yours is not working with an RCA remote/code*.
:P
The type of remote/code* required has nothing to do with the Xbox, and everything to do with the dongle.
MS uses one that is apparently made by Thompson/RCA. Others most likely do not.
*By code I mean whatever code you would enter into a universal remote. <
