Title: The Elder Of Scrolls: Oblivion

Has anyone heard about this game. From what I've read about it, it is going to be incredible. It sounds like the game that Fable should have been (not to say that Fable was a bad game but you know what I mean). By the sounds of it the world will be huge with well over 1000 unique NPCs (individual models no repeats) that all go about living their daily lifes. You can travel the lands on your horse searching for gold, doing 100s of quests, becoming a hero, etc etc etc. I loved Morrowind, me and my pal put in over 200+ hrs. and barely scratched the surface of what there was to do and Oblivion looks like it will far exceed Morrowind in every aspect.

i dont like RPG`S , they aint usually the sort of game i play, but i must say that fable got me hooked (played it for the first time last week and completed within a few days), and have just read about elder scrolls, and seen some footage and i have to admit it looks very very nice indeed  wink.gif

hopefully its a release title and one i`ll be purrrrchassing!

Yeah well it isn't a turn based RPG its more of an action RPG. I can't wait for it. It looks incredible.

sorry i was just being an ass.  i think everyone in this forum has heard of oblivion as its one of the most wanted launch titles.

cheekymonkey if you liked fable why not give marrowind a try on xbox.  its the prequal to oblivion and will give you a taste to how it will play out.  the only thing to keep in mind with marrowind is that it looks like ass compared to oblivion.  love all kinds of RPGs but this one will keep me hooked for hours.  i spent atleast over 200 hours in marrowind alone and i still never beat the game, its too huge.

Lol I stayed up all night drinking a 24 pack of Mt. Dew and beat it in less than 20 hours. BTW is Oblivion on Live? If so, how many players?

The game isn't online, but it's live aware (as are all Xbox360 games).
The developers are gonna be constantly creating content (characters, armor, skins, weapons, etc) which you can download.

This game will own all games until GOW comes out, but it will still be awesome even then. The PC version looks like shit compared to the 360 version.

Yeah. They said they are done making the game and they just have to get it running smoothly and patch it all up.

Uninterruptive journey, meaning everythings running smoothly on those beta kits (no word on betheda's final kits yet) and the harddrive is also being used (duh), as we all know.

Anyway, if the game doesn't run smooth and even drops in frame rate at all, then fuck the 360. Fuck this so called 'next generation' for that matter too. Seriously, there's no excuse for low frame rates and almost no excuse for frame drops with the supposed power at hand.

i wish theyd take the time to make about 300hours worth more gameplay(call me crazy lol)

wasnt morrowind in itself 1000+hours?(definatly is with all expansions)

If morrowind was 1000+hours, Oblivion will be twice that. Morrowind was listed as 100+hours to beat story and missions etc, but we all know it took way longer, many spent 200+hours on it.

No, that map is for all of Tamriel.  For size reference, the island Vvardenfel is where morrowind took place, with Solstheim to the northeast.  The current game will take place in Cyrodiil.

Vvardenfel was the only spot morrow took place in?

why is the rest named Morrowind?

if thats true, Oblivion is Massive! even if its just Cyrodiil

daaaaaaamn I cant wait!!
