This game is no where realistic it looks no better than pgr 2 and the game play just isnt that great.
Un less im missing a major aspect of the game some where

this is a high resolution/high res texture, HDR, high polygon version of forza basically....best looking racing game to date so either live with it or trade it in its no ones problem but yours

Anyways to the original poster, check your video settings on the dash and make sure they are right, are you on a HDTV? This game is gorgeous on my HD DLP 46" and thats not even close to as good as it gets so maybe its time for you to buy a new tv?

my samsung dlp is quite fine. and the rear projection in the game room is fine too.

I have a Sammy DLP too, my point was that as good as it is theres still better but im totaly satisfied.

Don't get me wrong, I love PGR3, and could definitely just as fun as Forza, but I think Forza is very very "sim like" and PGR3 is still an arcade racer.

Quit compareing a sim racer to an arcade racer, there different. The argument wasnt which was better anyways, just that he thought he wasted his money. Forza is a great game but so is PGR3.

one thats burned in my mind was near the start- some pretty-boy punk with a pierced lip saying 'you gotta big up your respect before you can roll with this crew' [or something such like]
that made me eject the disk and replace it in the box- took all my willpower to stop myself slinging it in the bin
theres no point even getting into the graphics argument- lets just say that at 1080i it looks worse than pgr1 or burnout1 did in TVres through a composite cable which was about 50metres long and took a route round a van-de-graaf generator on the way to the tv

Ummm...yea I was the person that started the thread. So I will compare it to what ever the fuck i want. And Im sorry PGR3 is weak on many more aspects.
For example the AA is poor, the realism (scenery might look good) but as far as driving realism it just isnt there for me. Rather in in car or out side car the feeling of speed isnt there. The feeling of handling i just cant grasp. I had no complaints wiht pgr 2. I can pin point just one thing I would say it is many

i agree entirely and have loved the series since MSR on the DC.

yeah I didn't get that at all either... as a fan of the series the only complaint I have in terms of the series change is that there isn't ENOUGH kudos challenges. there are only what? 8 total kudos challenges this time? The Drift Challenges and Time vs. Kudos are interesting and nice additions but no replacement for a pure kudos challenge, also the kudos challenges seem to have been growing more gate based as opposed to style based as it was in previous versions. A minor complaint but it's opposite from what a lot of other people complain about the series.

.....sorry I couldn't resist.I like PGR3 but I am real crap at it so it holds some attraction to me. The cars don't seem to handle like a real car would though, the drifts seem as if the whole car goes at once rather than the front or back end breaking free (Hard To explain)
I know I am a sad act but I still prefer the handling of cars in Rally type games

last time i checked that was a demo and the game hasnt been released yet. so therefore cannot count as a game in the runnings
