Uh, ok.  So some goofball says he got a review copy of PGR3 and he claims to be able to tell that it's being output in 600p and then upscaled to 720p?  Yeah.... sure.  Maybe someone will back this guy up but I call bullshit.   dry.gif

Or then he's the most skilled fraud I've seen in a long time. Let's see if Bizarre reacts to this.

My LCD TV already upscales 720p to 768p, so that the image isn't pixel perfect. 600p to 768p would naturally look worse :unsure:

even IF this is true it doesnt bother me in the slightest.  this is one of the most graphically impressive launch titles and the first TRUE game to have near-photo realitic graphics.  having only 2 months to port and work on final hardware im surprised they got it looking this good.  

there is something that bothers me though, bizzare have used the photo maker mode in the game to make all the screenshots and they havent had problems releasing pics in 720p.  also in the rescent vid interview at kikizo (here) they spoke about how they have the frame rate at 30 and they are shooting to improve it and get it higher.  now if the resolution wasnt up to par why would they try to improve their framerate before even having 720p locked down?  also in the interview you can hear them stating how the programmers wanted to start over with the code once they got the final dev kits because there is so much untapped power in the machine without proper coding and optimizing which to me bodes well for future games  beerchug.gif

Wouldn't the photo maker mode take picture of the upscaled 720? I am just playing devils advocate. I don't know if it would or not.

Similar to what happened with halo1 and halo 2.........they reworked the code and got twice the performance out the system.
