Exactly, too many games to worry about this one. I got tired of waiting for it for xbox (2years) and now it looks like just what he said, they took an xbox game and optimized it for 360, if you can call it optimization anyways. Looks like shit and sounds like its playing like shit. And they are planning to release it in how long LOL. Owell, I could care so much less. Im gonna be playing Kameo, Oblivian and PGR3. Dont know how id have time for less than perfect dark anyways.

I don't have time to wathc the video right now, is this the one where they have the out of synch (well there is a in-synch version because I saw it on G4) voice overs and miss Dark can't roll right, she looks like she is tripping. The graphics were eh, not bad but not what I was expecting. The voice and lines were pretty cheesey. I was expecting this to be a GoTY but not I just think it will be decent.

I can't help but think teamxbox may be just a little bit biased. All the other gaming sites posted reviews that weren't bad persay but far below what was expected, just seeing the movies made me cringe and Rare pulled one over on us with the art design switching it from what they had orignaly proposed. Along with that I don't see how they could say it had smooth frame-rate and not be lying when Rare themself said it is at a cumbersome 24 FPS and they are trying to get it up to 30 before launch. That is in no way smooth, unless their definition is vastly different than mine.

i just saw the 2 vids from teamxbox before i came to work and i have to say i was really really impressed. i havent cared much for this game at all but now i will surely be picking this one up.
honestly i dont know where all the concern is coming from, i know some vids and pics look like ass but its obvious which scenes and pics are taken from an older build of the game. the one trailer with live actors for example, to me is seems like some of the game clips they sneak in the trailer are from an older build as they dont have the detail as some of the other clips in the same trailer. unless they fucked up somewhere to the fact that some of the game looks like ass while the rest is pure beauty (which doesnt seem likely) then there should be no worry about how the game looks.
yes the game could look better with a little more time (as any game) but for a launch title i think its one of the most impressive games i have seen yet.

It just depends on whether u plan to use any of the stuff that comes in the premium pack in the future. If so you should just save a little more because in the end you will get more for your money. I mean if u r just rushing to get it just to have it or just for one game than you should just wait. Why not take advantage of everything the system can give you in terms of features, but if u really don't think u will be able to afford it and u want the system than go ahead and get the core I'm sure you will still have a lot of fun but always remember u get what u pay for.

I know it's tough, but if you can scrounge up $50 more, you can have the premium and PDZ. If you plan on getting a HD later, a core is just shooting yourself in the foot. If it comes to waiting, that's what I would do. Good luck!

Im looking at the little things that impress me like all the round sbeing fired, explosions, what happens after those explosions.
I liked it a lot, and was not expecting much.
My opinion on this game differs greatly from anyone else here.
Up until yesterday, you couldnt have paid me to look at this game. Now that Im seeing recent footage, its better than I expected, so thats why I seem impressed.

if you dont like the grafix and thats enough for you to question "how great" a system is then you shouldnt be playing games; you should be watching them.

I also like how PD zero moves and plays. Im not even a fan really but this game intrigues me.
Gears wouldnt have to look near as good for me to like it. Id buy it just for the setting it takes place in, and its made around coop mode..thats what I live for!
I still say PD's graphics are impressive. I also think its more of a xbox port thats been given a facelift in some areas like miggidy hit on, so it could look better. But this is the type of game that doesnt need to rely on graphics. I always thought Halo was ass ugly, but it pulled me in didnt let go for a few months. Halo 2 looked 10 times better but I couldnt stand it and it lasted 12 days and was sold.
People are looking at the videos on a whole instead of watching the little things that go on during the gun fights. Color me Impressed.

Looks boring and the old 'been there, done that' seems to come to mind from the gameplay. Especially the garage scene. Perfectly placed barrels - how obvious can you get, how boring. A.I. looks pretty typical too. Maybe it's not PD, and the fact that all FPS are getting the same these days anyway.
I'd still buy it for the multiplayer though.

Hmm, one interesting thing from that last video, if you skip to about 1:30 and listen carefully you can hear this conversation going (rough approximation of what I can hear follows):
RND GUY: the edges look a bit jaggedy but I'm guessing that cos it's on a big display, it doesn't seem anti-alisiazed.
DEV: that's cos there isn't, we're using a motion blur to give the same effect as AA, we're not actaully using the AA of the graphics chip
RND GUY: I thought that was suspoed to be a free feature
DEV: It's not entirely free...<mumbles the rest so I can't hear what's being said>
I'm guessing that this isn't a final build so they might be able to turn on AA in future (I thought that 2xAA was mandotory on all 60 games).
