Check this link
look for the link for the file "Stream TV.rar". Put the .strm files on your xbox. Make sure your music extensions on your config file includes .strm. Put a bookmark in your music tag to the folder where you store the files that you get from the rar file. I have found that not all of the links work, but some are pretty decent. Most of the high quality video streams are in foreign languages (at least to me because i'm an american and see no reason to learn a language other than english - just kidding), but there seems to be some decent music video stations at least. Remember, even though it's video streams, open it up as music instead of videos. <

I did notice while looking at the video extensions section of my mc.xml file that it appears that xbmc supports .asx streams. My gf's spanish and would like like to be able to watch a few spanish tv channels such as http:\\www.tvcyl.estvcyltvcylcmva.asx on the TV instead of PC
do you or anyone know how to get these to work? would i need extra codecs? what format & ext would any shortcuts take?
my gf would be truely gratefull of any assitance here

Runnig xbmc 2/12
1 I got the stream.rar
2. extracted it
3 created a folder in xbox under c:\apps\xbmc\ called streamtv
4 tranfer all the *.strm into xbox under c:\apps\xbmc\streamtv
5. Edited xboxmediacenter.xml under music tag here what I put in
6. check under <musicextensions>I have |.strm|
<bookmark>
<name>Internet-TV</name>
<path>C:\apps\xbmc\StreamTV</path>
</bookmark>
7. rebooted the xbox
8. opened the xbmc up and it showed all the list of the stream tv station but none of them are loading from the internet
I saw most of them showed the station name with 0.0kb and some showed 0.1kb but no matter what I slected nothing happen.
but when I check my shoutcast radio everything work fine. please help me what did I missed out.

Those streams do not work with the 2004-02-12 release.
This have been fixed in the cvs.

This channel is in the pack aswell just under a different name the one you are looking for is Tv6 (autriche) 7_300 kb.strm if not just paste this into a text file and rename it .strm

And, as if the "just sound" problem is not enough... When I stop the first one tried, and then try to launch another of the strm files my xbox hangs. Sometimes with a blank boks with just the cancel button visible, other times even that don't show up. And it is constant... I'v tried it 10 times yesterday, but it always hangs up on the second launch.
I'm running the 0309 build. Any suggestions?

I'm only able to get sound when streaming the .strm files. It shows that my Internet-connection is working as it should... but i want pictures. :-)

when i am steaming from the internet the file will aways start off good and then start skiping, 1 sec pauses in sound.
not sure weather this is because of the connection or something else?

I spent some time obtaining the files from soccerstreams
and converted them all to plain mms://address .strm. Even if they dont work now they should do in future XBMC versions.Soccer Streams

I install xbmc 5-3-2004 ontop of xbmc 4-19-2004. before that step , i saved xbmc 5-19-2004 "player" folder with all the codecs and "xboxmediacenter.xl on my pc hard drive. Then i transfered the 2 files ontop of xbmc 5-3-2004. now it works like before!

Havent tried if the format works on xbmc but that is the stream address your looking for.

also if i stop it or try to load up a different strm, xbmc crashes
i've tried many music vids including the one that was posted in the first page by jaydee and i get the same result.
i'm using 5-23 version

I was thinking it would be better to use the countrys flag instead of just a screenshot of one of the streams from that country. Its just an idea, if you don't like it, dont worry, its your pack. If you like my idea i will gladly help u though =)
